I just found out recently that Malaysians actress like Eyka Farhana and influencer, Sabrina jpbrinx are using toner pads for their skincare routine. I find it interesting as it is different than the usual toner that I use. I am gonna share with you what is Toner Pad is all about.
Toner pads are soaked in toner and come in a jar, designed to exfoliate, cleanse, and prep the skin for the next steps in your skincare routine. They’re popular because they simplify the traditional toner application process—no cotton balls or spills. Plus, they’re packed with skin-loving ingredients like hyaluronic acid, tea tree extract, and various acids (AHA, BHA) that cater to different skin concerns, from hydration to acne treatment.

1. Medicube Zero Pore Pad 2.0
This one is the toner pad used by Eyka Farhana. Lactic acid is an exfoliant ingredient. It removes dead skin cells, increases skin cells turnover, promotes skin collagen and improves natural moisture factor! Panthenol is a vitamin B5. It retains water and prevent loss of water, hence it moisturises the skin. It also has the anti-inflammatory effect and stimulates wound healing.
I would recommend this to all skin types. You can get it from here https://invl.io/cll5id7

2. Skinfood Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pad
I love Skinfood’s products as it has been in Malaysia for years! This specific product won the best No. 1 Toner Pad at the Olive Young Awards 2022 & 2023 (it is 2 consecutive years)! Let’s get into its ingredients and why they are the most purchased toner pad!
This one contains carrot extracts and carrot seed oil. These ingredients are an antioxidants, which heps in reducing any inflammations on your skin, brightens your skin and moisturizes your skin. The ingredients are extracted using a steaming method to retain the nutrients, which I think it is a thoughtful process by them as they would want the user to gain the most benefits from the product they produce.

3. Mediheal Toner Pads
This brands introduces 7 types of Toner Pads that caters specific types of skin.
- Teatree Trouble Pad: It contains tea tree and lactobacillus for acne-prone skin. Tea tree has antimicrobial effect and antiinflammatory. Meanwhile lactobacillus helps to restore the natural microbes on the skin, regulates the sebum production by improving the hydration on the skin.
- Madecassoside Blemish Pad: Madecassoside is an antioxidant ingredient that helps in reducing blemishes. It also provides intense moisture on the skin. Madecassoside is a bioactive compound that usually seen in Centella asiatica. Thus, I would recommend this if you have redness on your skin.
- Retinol Collagen Lifting Pad: Retinol is a form of vitamin A. It speeds up the cell turnover and produces more collagen. Thus it is effective in reducing wrinkles and fine lines.
- Collagen Ampoule Pad: Collagen increases the skin elasticity and firming. Hence it improves sagging skin and appearance of fine lines.
- Watermide Moisture Pad: It contains Botanical Extracts and Icelandic Glacial Water. It is suitable for dry skin because it helps in lock-in the moisture.
- Vitamide Brightening Pad: It is packed with Niacinamide 3%, Sea Buckthorn and 7 essential vitamins. Niacinamide evens skin tone and Sea Buckthorn contains Vitamin C to brightens the skin. It is perfect for someone who has uneven skin tone.
- Phyto-enzyme Peeling Pad: This pad enriched with Natural Papaya Enzyme and Lipohydroxy Acid (LHA). Papaya is a superfood rich with antioxidants. LHA is a derivative of salicylic acid. It has exfoliating effect which benefits acne prone skin. As it is liphophilic, it penetrates the skin less deeply than salicylic acid. It means that it is easier to dissolve in lipids and oils, thus giving its benefit to oily skin.
Among these varieties of Mediheal toner pads, my personal favourite is Phyto-enzyme Peeling Pad. How often do you hear about LHA? Not common, right? Well you can try to buy it here https://invl.io/cll5ifb
